New Hope has partnered with various community organizations and individuals to realize a youth center for the region serving youth 14-22 years of age. ROOTS Teen Center currently calls 43 Eagle St. in North Adams its 'home'. We hope to provide youth with positive opportunities to grow in relationships, learn new hobbies, and develop life skills. Please contact Pastor Courtney if you have questions or would like to volunteer. For more information, click here for the ROOTS website.
Every Wednesday members of New Hope volunteer with the Friendship Center Food Pantry. Volunteers are needed to greet and to pack food for those who come looking to supplement their food supplies. The Friendship Center, located at 43 Eagle Street in North Adams needs volunteers every Wednesday from 10am-12noon, 12noon-2pm or 4pm-6pm.
The Friendship Center has recently started offering free rides to its friends. If you would like to volunteer to be a driver, please indicate this when signing up on the sheet in the church, or by contacting email@example.com.
In an effort to support this great community outreach program, New Hope will support the Friendship Center by providing volunteers every week to help with the food distribution. In 2014, we paid for a farm share from Caretaker Farm for the Friendship Center which will provided fresh local produce from June through October.
The NBIAI is a group of people of various faiths and denominations working together with others of good will to find ways to serve our community.
